18. The Sacrifice
Case file: #65-9525-X
The Doriskin Papers: Espionage.
Original broadcast date: 16 January 1966
Inspector Lewis Erskine infiltrates a spy network and is marked for assassination.
- The spy network is based at a movie theater. The movies showing are two of Humphrey Bogart's classics: To Have and Have Not and The Big Sleep. Bogie movies seem to be featured in The FBI. No surprise, since Mr. Bogart was a Warner Brothers contract player.
- Percy Helton (1894-1971) played the drunken Santa Claus that Edmund Gwenn chided at the beginning of Miracle on 34th Street (1947). He plays a bum here.
